Frequently asked questions
Not sure whether your need is a camera system, access-control project, or a future property-monitoring layer? Start with the outcome you want.
Is Haven Point mainly a camera company?+
Surveillance is our current lead offering because it solves an immediate, understandable property need. Haven Point is designed to grow into a broader property intelligence and protection company—without asking customers to buy into services that are not ready yet.
How many cameras do I need?+
There is no one-size camera count. A serious homeowner may start with four or more cameras and a doorbell, while a business or multifamily property needs coverage based on entrances, exterior approaches, parking, layout, lighting, and operational needs.
Can I view my system remotely?+
For compatible systems, yes. During planning, we will discuss remote access, notifications, recording preferences, user permissions, and what you need to see when you are away.
Do you provide emergency monitoring or police response?+
No. Haven Point is not an emergency dispatch service and cannot guarantee prevention, continuous availability, or a particular response time. In an emergency, call 911. Surveillance is a tool for awareness, documentation, and better property decisions.
Are access control, sensors, tracking, and backup power available today?+
Straightforward access-control projects may be considered now. Property monitoring, asset-tracking, and resilience offerings are expanding or future service lines; availability is confirmed after an assessment and written scope.
What about privacy and lawful use?+
We encourage thoughtful placement, appropriate notices where needed, and use that respects applicable laws, tenants, employees, visitors, and neighbors. Haven Point provides technology guidance, not legal advice; property owners remain responsible for lawful use.
